miriams christmas show

i don't think we have worthwhile video. i just wanted to write about our experience with the kindergarten music performance. it was awesome. i mean, it had everything! first, they set up the chairs and the risers in such a way that only the first 3 rows can see. (for the record, i don't know how they would fix this, but the way they do it can't possibly be the best way lol) so starting 5 seconds in, people start standing up, or people started holding their video cameras in the air right in front of others faces. its great. so we had to leave our seats to watch from the sidelines. just try to picture it. alex is on the floor at our feet playing with his cars, adele is on my hip, there are 60 kindergartners singing off key in the front of the room, and about 150 parents and guests all crowded around them in a a semi circle, just trying to get a glimpse of their kid. the whole thing was hysterical. miriam was so animated that i had other parents coming up to me after the show commenting that she needs to go into stage work, or that we have a little jim carrey on our hands. we had a blast watching her. there was a kid in the back row who didn't want to be singing, he cried and frowned through the whole show, refusing to sing or do the hand motions. there was another kid in the back row that did everything asked of her, but she looked like the most miserable kid youve ever seen. imagine eeyore when he has lost his tail, only singing "here comes santa claus" 3/4 the way through the show one little boy tossed his cookies, so that was funny and sad. they collectively sang jingle bells so slowly that the teachers had to just stop the tape playing the instrumental part because it was a verse ahead of them. and several of the songs weren't totally in english--or the kids didn't understand the words, because they didn't sound like english. all awesome. =) merry christmas...
