sigh
one of my friends from college, with whom i have only recently reconnected, turned in her dissertation a few weeks ago and found out yesterday that it was accepted, or whatever the proper terminology is. She announced yesterday that "yes, you can call me doctor." congrats, G, im so happy for you. but oh my gosh am i jealous! i used to be smart and motivated and capable! sigh...

You are still smart and motivated and capable!!!! And for this short time you are giving all that to your beautiful children. Then you can go back to school and we all will be at your doctorate graduation!!!
